Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with translations on my Sngine site.

  • Some strings display correctly in the right language, but when I modify the .po file to change the text, the changes are not applied, even after regenerating the .mo file.

  • The issue happens with both long and short texts.

  • Other translations that haven’t been modified work correctly.

Actions already taken:

  • Correctly uploaded the .po and .mo files to the server.

  • Restarted PHP-FPM on the server.

  • Cleared browser cache and tested in a private window.

Has anyone encountered this problem or knows how to force Sngine to apply updates from .po files?

Thanks for any advice!

Hello, if you are using a theme, are you placing the files in the theme folder?

That is why you should buy my translator 😂

It is planned to buy the plugins and set up the system that allows this on my site. I realized this while doing all the translation into French. Then I wanted to correct some translations to have more personal words related to my site. So for the moment I modified some tpl files as I only offer French on my French-speaking site and no longer poses a translation problem. As internet browsers translate the language, other people who speak another language will not be bothered if they wish to be on my site.

I never used PO to translate anything. I just open the PO file and edit on notepad. Lol. But now I have my translator...
